To make obtaining a student SmartRider card as easy as possible for students, parents and schools, it now possible to order student SmartRiders online. Simply click on the link at the bottom of this page to begin your online order. Please read below for further information on this service and for other ways to purchase a SmartRider card. |

Who can purchase a SmartRider card online? If your school has registered for online payments with Monitor WA and you are a current Western Australian secondary student living in Western Australia, you can purchase a Student SmartRider online. |

How do I find out if my school is registered for the online payment option? You will need to start the online process and if your school is listed in the first page, your school is registered. If it isn't listed, then you're school has not yet registered for the online payment option. All West Australian secondary schools have been contacted by Monitor WA with the option of registering for the online payment system, but as participation is voluntary not all schools have registered to take part. |

How much does it cost to purchase a student SmartRider? It costs $5.00 to purchase a student SmartRider (both new and replacement SmartRider cards), the cost of which will be charged to the nominated credit card. Please note: Prior to use, a minimum of $10.00 must be added to SmartRider cards to use them to pay for Transperth fares. For further information on how to Add- Value to your SmartRider, visit the Transperth website (www.transperth.wa.gov.au). |

How secure is my purchase? The payment process is handled by Eway who specialise in online payments and is a reputable, established Australian company. More information on Eway can be found on their web site http://www.eway.com.au |

I had money on my last card, what happens to it? When a replacement card is issued, funds from your previous SmartRider card should transfer automatically to your new SmartRider card. If this does not happen, please call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 (TTY: 9428 1999, TIS: 13 14 50). |

How long does it take to get my card All online card orders are printed and mailed to your school the next working day after you have completed the online purchase order. |

You will need to complete the form, get it authorised by your school administration and post this with the $5.00 application fee to the WA Monitor address provided on the form. I start primary school next year, can I get a student SmartRider card now? No, you will need to apply for your student SmartRider card next year (if your school is a participating school, you will automatically receive a student SmartRider in your first term). |
